The Modesto Police Department considers the investigation of complaints regarding an employee's actions or our policies to be one of our most important missions. All complaints are investigated objectively and thoroughly, and the investigation findings are provided in writing to the complainant.

If you wish to make a commendation or file a complaint against any employee, please contact the Modesto Police Department at 209-572-9500 and ask to speak with the on duty watch commander.  Please be prepared with the employee's name (if known) and the date/time/location of the incident in question.

Once the Modesto Police Department has received your commendation/complaint, an investigator will be assigned and you will be contacted to further clarify your concerns. The investigator will also provide further information regarding our complaint investigation process.
