2003 STATISTICS
Since January of 2003, the MPD Gang Unit has handled over 275 cases, making a total of 56 arrests. Since January of 2003 the MPD Gang Unit has also received 64 reports of graffiti vandalism in the Modesto area. The MPD Gang Unit has hosted 4 gang presentations to local schools and community groups.
2002 STATISTICS
During 2002, the MPD Gang Unit handled over 1150 cases, making a total of 167 arrests. During 2002 the MPD Gang Unit also received 112 reports of graffiti vandalism in the Modesto area. The MPD Gang unit hosted a total of 37 Gang presentations to local schools and community groups.
