Stanislaus County Drug Enforcement

The Modesto Police Department participates in both the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency (S.D.E.A.) as well as the Central Valley High Intensity Drug Traffic Area (H.I.D.T.A.) unit. Both units are comprised of local, state and federal agents and the two units work closely together. The primary objective of the two units is to combat the illicit manufacturing of methamphetamine that occurs in Stanislaus County. S.D.E.A. is responsible for investigating and dismantling all clandestine labs discovered in Stanislaus County.

The two units also target, apprehend, prosecute and dismantle organizations or individuals who manufacture and/or distribute large quantities of drugs known as "major violators." The telephone number for both S.D.E.A. and H.I.D.T.A. is (209) 558-6300.
