The Modesto Police Department is always looking for motivated, intelligent people. From lateral transfers of already trained Police Officers to Academy Recruits to Community Service Officers and Police Clerks, the Modesto Police Department wants to attract the best of the best for service with our Department.

The Modesto Police Department has an authorized strength of 286 sworn personnel and 114 non-sworn personnel. The Department has three divisions - the Operations Division, the Investigative Services Division and the Support Division.
