Organizational Structure

The Reserve Unit is under the direction of the Operations Division Commander. The following is flow chart of the Reserve Unit’s Chain of Command.

The Reserve Unit is divided into platoons and squads. The Reserve Lieutenant is in charge of the platoon and the Reserve Sergeant is in charge of a squad. 

The Reserve Unit’s Chain of Command shall be adhered to by officers within the Reserve Unit, and between officers of the Reserve Unit and regular officers of the department. The Chain of Command shall not be bypassed or circumvented except in an emergency. Reserve Officers are bound by the same general orders, policies and procedures, as are the regular officers.
